500 Word Story: Trust Your Fears

This project was part of a challenge for me to create a compelling story without going over the 500-word limit. In Trust Your Fears, I increased the difficulty by writing a story in the horror genre despite not being a fan of horror in general. I intended to use the feelings I experience when I try to consume this media and put those feelings into my writing.

This story focuses on a half-orc investigating a strange message from a friend that he claims to not have written. Further questioning shows that something is wrong with his memory, or maybe he really is lying.
